Marienlyst Strandhotel - Helsingor

The restaurant experience was superb.

Rich breakfast plenty of meals.

a nice size and extremely pleasant room, great bed, free parking. modern interior design.

Actually everything was outstanding, my next choice again in Helsingor. The venue was fairly clean and the staff were highly professional and genuinely helpful. The room was huge and brand-new, and I slept very well. The food in the bar was fabulous and outstanding.

The sea view from our room was amazing, and the breakfast offered a fantastic variety. We even enjoyed a fun day visiting the nearby casino.

My kids wished there were more activities specifically for families.

the staff at the front dest were extremely cordial, helpful, cheerful and attentive, full marks to all of them. The staff handled all our questions quickly with local knowledge Fast checking in and out. Clean rooms, and pleasant reception area good parking facilities and although im not a gambler there was an enjoyable air of excitement as there was a club and casino in operation.

to use the resturant for dinner, which was our plan, a booking had to be made, at 1800 hrs we found that we couldnt get a table so ended up going out to another resturant in town. costing us a lot more, and included an expensive return taxi ride. we did get a good recommendation from the front desk staff so all turned out all right. I am a smoker and dislike having to stand outside the hotel smoking.because of rules. The hotel i think has the best arrangement i have seen yet by placing ashtrays on the covered balconies so accommodating us who are still puffing away comfortably.

Beautiful views and amazing dining, but service was a bit unwelcoming.

The room we reived was a disaster, the furniture would better fit a youth hostel and the cleaning was not worth calling cleaning. When we asked for a better room (not even with seaview) this was not possible, even when the hotel was one third booked.

Nice atmosphere, nice swimming pol, superb breakfast buffe, the view from the hotel is excelent if room is towards the sea.

I appreciated the tranquil decor and beautifully crafted furnishings throughout the hotel. The accessibility for seniors was commendable, with easy navigation around the hotel's well-designed common areas and spa.

We were given free casino chips, so we've put a bet on a roulette and won 2100 DKK!!!

We had an ocean view room which was fine. The pools and spa amenities were perfect for relaxation!

No soap in the room (soap holder empty). Swimming pool in repair in the middle of the summer !..

Only a 10 minute walk into the center of the nearby town, close to the castle and near the sea. There is a Casino at the hotel and you can enter for free as hotel guests. The pool is inside and it is quite nice.

The room was a bit outdated and was not cleaned very well.
